Nice pile of gills and perch. About time these lakes setup for them. I have been looking but striking out last few trips. Gotta be just starting to get good, looks like I’ll have to head back out tomorrow.
Question for you on them ST Clair perch
Did you spend much time perchin? Just wondering if it’s worth spending a day just for them. You don’t see any info at all on them down there. I spent Saturday on Erie with 2 of my kids and didn’t do very well but we got a late start for the perch and my minnows where in bad shape. That’s my excuse anyway , Lol
I know Erie can be good but I wouldn’t mind hitting ST Clair. I have fished them years back but it was late October early November so I don’t have any experience with the early season for them.

Found some over deep water in the UP. Drifting my "panfish harness". Small butterfly blade, three beads, single hook, tipped with gulp minnow. Kept a few for dinner. IMG_20200818_211544.jpeg IMG_20200818_203801.jpeg

Gills are solid in the deep water now. Nights have been cool lately. 49 this morning. Soposed to be hot this weekend then cool next week. I wonder if fall is going to come early.
