Went out for late evening trip and stayed out about a hour after dark, they never slowed down. Had a really good bite right at dark and little after in 5-6fow. All jigging chartreuse with brown ww.
Only a few silvers and a sheep, sure was lots of debris floating tonight. Woulda stayed longer but no head lamp it was getting tough to see my line.

we have been fishing shallow (when we can) almost all year. That is the best part about this year. Everyone is catching so many in 30 plus FOW that no one bothers us in tight. Get some boats in that shallow water and they shut down.

    Gator,

At least you included a fish in the sunset picture. Most sunset pictures are followed with "Didn't catch anything, but had a nice sunset......." posts......

Said jigging but casting sand flats near islands are killer.

You can jig as shallow as the fish are, just need things to line up to be able to fish in that depth. For example- no other boats and dirty water or low light/after dark. I get amazed year after year where I catch eyes casting tubes for bass. They can school up even in shallow water when it’s clear but once you go over them they are gone. Very skittish fish
