Are there any decent area's around Lansing for Pike/Bass fishing? We used to catch a few out of the Grand, are there any area's better than others? I have a kayak, so I can do smaller lakes also, I was lucky enough to fish private lakes for the last 10 years, so I'm out of the loop now. I have been out a couple times so far this year, but have gotten skunked every time so far. Any area/lure advice would be great, thanks guys.

Used to float anywhere from north lansing dam all the way to Grand Ledge and caught a lot of fish, small Smallies mostly, some cats, some walleye.

Thanks TrailMarker, I am hoping to get the kayak in by the west side as soon as the water level drops enough for no current, and its not 100 degrees. We used to use Silver Minnows with a twister tail to catch them in the Grand, whats your suggestion for lures?

I always used tubes, mostly in watermelon or pumpkinseed colors
