I never thought I would use them, but I'm sure glad I had them aboard.
I was out with the Lake Erie masses yesterday. After several hours of running all my gear the battery wouldn't crank the engine.
I've stored jumper cables on the board since the day bought the boat. I pulled them out and jump the motor with the trolling battery and we were on our way.
They really came in handy yesterday.
Would have been a bad day for sure.

I thought about carrying them, but figured I'd just move batteries around should the need arise.

doesn't your ranger have a battery selector switch that does that for you ? I thought they all came with that.

Not on Reata. But no real hassle with the cables.

    Thanks for the reminder!

Two weeks ago I let a couple of fellows use mine at the ramp. I pointed to my truck and asked them to put them in the bed when done, but really wasn't concerned much. They weren't an expensive set.

Not sure if they even fished, left with my cables, or put them in the wrong truck bed, lol in either case, I need a new set! Or a jumper pack.

I would think with all the boats rafted, you'd have been able to get an easy assist.
