    I never once took a hard hit that day. In fact, I have only had two and those were from the boat wake. It did loosen a few screws on the boat that had to be tightened down but all and all no problem.

    Shoe you need to come fishing out with me sometime. I owe you a few trips don't I ?lol

    I hear you on that. When I was much younger I had fun in a Lowe 1436 with an Evinrude 18 HP from the 60’s that put out every bit or more power than 25’s do today. Outrunning small runabouts with 60-80 HP motors made those guys pretty mad.

    Yes I have the exact same boat, love it after fishing with 14’ V boats my entire life. I wouldn’t change confuse it with a big lake boat though!

    I wouldn’t mind an upgrade to a 1872, but price goes way up from a 1648.
