Was just Curious as to if the river would be worth jigging tomorrow , I’ve never fished it in the fall and was thinking about making a day trip , if we could get 3-6 it would be worth the trip for us.

Very slow today. Been getting 6-8 most trips this fall but belle isle bridge was very slow today, only two.

We jigged the Belle Isle bridge as well Saturday morning. My buddy connected on 3 in one pass, unfortunately we lost the first one during the netting process, the second one came off before the net hit the water and we finally boated the 3rd one. He got one more and that was it. Both fish were nice, 21" and 23". I boated this fish and wasn't sure what it was until my friend did a google search. Based on replies I've got, it appears to be a Whitefish. It was sent back as I snagged it in the gill.

Big whitefish, Possibly my favorite eating fish. Are you sure you didn’t mouth hook it and maybe the stinger didn’t catch a gill?;)
