Tragic. Really liked the guy. Heard he had been sick. No idea he was that close to the end. RIP.

He had just announced that he was sick not to long ago. Very sad, I’ve listened to him a lot over the years. R.I.P.

That' terrible, not a good way to go. RIP.

Seems like there would be warning signs early, but maybe not in his case. I know several people with colon issues (including my wife) and it was evident way before it had a chance to become cancerous something was wrong.

Diagnosed in 2019 and announced this past Monday that he had it. Sad because it is one of the most treatable cancers you can get from what I have read.

All the insurance companies and doctors have pushed back colon checks from 40 to 50. I have my physical tomorrow and I'm going to ask my doctor about it. When I turned 40, I thought I would get the check and at the time I was pleasantly surprised they moved the check until 50. After Jamie's death, this is a wakeup call to me.

There’s a test you can do at home. Cologard i think is the name. All you have to do is crap in a box then send it in. Easy Peasy.
Tho the scope is a far better test.

My doc says she doesn't reccomend 40's unless you have family history. Even then she says 45. As long as there is no family history she starts at 50.

If your paying and concerned then just do it. I don't want too but I don't want a camera in my insides, but hell, do it if it means something to you and screw the recommendation.

I was shocked to hear this, I feel so sorry for his family. I am listening to the morning show right now.

If you're of age, or have a family history of GI cancers, please speak with your physician about a screening colonoscopy, though most all PCPs will suggest one at the appropriate time.

With today's modern anesthetics, the patient has no recollection whatsoever of the procedure, even though they are awake and speaking during much of it. It's legitimately like it never happened.

The prep for colonoscopy though - you'll remember every damn minute of that....
