Oh the good old days when we could ice fish until May - LOL!;) I know the general public hated those 2 back to back Arctic Winters we had a few years ago but as avid ice fishermen I'm sure we all very much enjoyed them! I know I did. I spent more time on the hard water in those 2 years than I've done total in the few years since then. Hopefully we can get this "Global Warming" thing under control and get back to some real Winter weather in the future:eek: Gotta go now, dusting off the casting gear for the soft water days ahead. Tight lines all.

Went up Monday and found the 12-14" of good ice unchanged, no melt at the shore on the 3 lakes I fished between Clare and Harrison.

Looking good fellas! I am thinking we may have a good winter for us this year! My prediction is I will be on hard water by Dec 20th!

I've been using ice jigs and tube floats for the last 2 weeks, been getting limits of gills, they're hungry right now!

im sure the minute ice starts to form we will get hit with a heat wave and we will get a month of 50 degree temps. That just seems to be our weather now, sure hope im wrong.

It must be time to pull the fishing boat out of the channel. This next couple weeks waiting on ice seams like an eternity!

Just heard something that I hope is not true.
The Minnow Bucket on Sargent road in Jackson county is closing.
    Anyone else hearing this ?
