Is anybody else planning to get out today? I'm a bit nervous with all the rain we got last night...

Unless you're on a River run lake or reservoir (ie some water flow) then you will find about 1" less ice today than yesterday, I will likely be out Thursday, when its 60, fishing in a t shirt.

I'm debating it. I went out twice today, and all I caught was some small stuff. I want to keep fishing until the ice is gone (and work permits), but I have other things I want to do as well. Decisions, decisions.....

This was the "big" one today, I was fishing in front of a creek where the rain had really stirred up the bottom and there were lots of fish but visibility was not great. 12-23fow, fish everywhere from bottom to just below the ice, plastics took all the larger fish, as you can see they were inhaling it, . 8"+ of ice. I know the forecast looks bad....real bad....but if we can make it until Friday then we'll keep it for another week. 20190311_095901.jpg

That's an encouraging report Space, seeing I can't get away until this Fri anyway. Like I told you guys north of me - turn on your air conditioners and keep the windows open til I get there. LOL!!

sorry for the late report, decided to try cedar lake near waterloo on saturday. 6+ of solid ice, someone driving an atv around on the ice. very slow, marked very few fish, very few bites. tried everywhere from 6-26 fow, lots of different baits, no luck.

Out of Allen lake today, 6 inches of ice, my last sit. Caught 2 nice perch and 1 gill, marked so many fish but they would look at my jig follow it then leave. Wish I had minnows.
