It's getting closer to fishing time. My pond is frozen over today.
Looking nice this morning in the swamp:
I had ice on my pond before the week of Indian Summer we just had.
I check the weather every day just hoping we can get our ice fishing on.
Think we will be a bit more active on the hard water this year. I picked up a bunch of ice fishing gear for next to nothing at a yard sale this summer. The kid is all excited.
Put that stuff back in the garage out of sight or it will never ice up.
In the past two months I have spent a ton of money on new stuff so the way my luck runs, I imagine there won't be any ice to use it all on.
I bought an auger two years ago and it never cut a hole last winter. Let's hope it makes some good ice this year
I organized my stuff yesterday, can't wait.
Looks like a minimum of 3 more weeks
I'm driving myself crazy watching U Tube ice fishing video Seems like everything I have is wrong
Don't belive all that. I just moved to a new lake from a spot that was 30 drop offs to a lake that doesn't even get 30ft deep. There all diffrent.
Man I'm doing the same thing LOL. Then I run down and buy this and that and some more of this and two more that's and start the whole damn process over again.
The only thing I might do this year is sell all my lead tear drops and get tungsten. And then try to stop there. Maybe
That will never happen.
