Thanks! Gonna give it a shot. Is erieau marina the place to launch or is there a different/better one? Boat is 21 foot ranger

We had a good bow bite going today after noon, boxed 8, lost 4. They were inside real tight against the 30 ft contour.

Were you at Wheatley? We are going to make the run from Toledo Beach tomorrow. Sure would like a starting point.

OBTW, I gutted and gilled our bows while out on the water and found they all were full of "pin minnows" and baby perch, about 2" long! Might explain why "greasy chicken wing" and others with similar coloration were hot.....we might have even done better if we had downsized our spoons.....just sayin. Everything was up real high in the column, top 15 ft.....flat lines behind boards, jet 30's back 30, super short dipsey settings (16-27), short rigger settings, etc.

It's mid August, normal migration time back to the east. Last year was odd for bows to stay in Wheatley into sept.

NO!!! Last years best days were the end of August. I'm fishing there tomorrow and will report when back home. I've been doing this for over 20 years.

Obviously weather and wind can change it for a while, but it's just about finding them.
