I hadn't jumped to the Pa CWD website in some time. While looking for the Prevalence Rates for 2019, I stumbled upon this time lapse video. I thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share.

The one thing that stood out to me is that either before or after it is found in free ranging deer, it appears to me that each area also has deer from a captive facility in it. That leads me to wonder if deer are getting in or out of the enclosures and potentially spreading CWD.

(Please note, I am not making the claim that captive deer are the cause, as wild deer could be getting into the enclosures and contaminating that herd as well. It is just an interesting observation from watching the video that there appear to be captive farms in each area that it is found.)

It basically follows the captive facilities areas it appears.?

Whitetail weren't meant to be fenced in.

Only 215 samples outside of the management zones. Must not want to realize the whole state is infected
