I slipped & fell on this damn ice yesterday morning. Think I cracked a rib or two.
It's now 12:40 am, can't sleep, can't even lay down in bed.
Lost power for about 4hr. with his storm, with the storm of 76, i lived on eagleye rd. had to cut n remove 47 trees (some big some small) off the rd. in order to get out, we raced motor cycles on ice at the time, (i was the side car dummy) so getting around was no problem
There was many times over the years with our road iced over. What I do remember specifically about that storm, was finding pheasants dead in thornapple trees. Two in one tree one in another about 3/8 to 1/2 mile from each other. I also remember the loss of our quail in the area and almost the whole southern Michigan.
My concern over this storm is if it will have the same devastating results on birds and migratory birds in mid Michigan. Many areas reported 1/4 inch but Midland reported 5/8, these are just for Saturday.
I remember quail in the area before then, haven't seen any since.

Hope it's just bruised rather than cracked Jimbo. Hope you heal quickly and you're able to rest comfortably.
It took many years before they had a season again and it was only certain counties at that.
thank God for lazy boy recliners. that's where I'm sleeping.
