That says only for traditional 2d sonar. I want the di function like I use on the boat. The traditional sonar works but it doesn't show things as nicely as DI for fishing areas with underwater trees.
Everything I read online said the ice mode with useless.
I haven't hooked it up to the ice kit yet this year. I'm going to have to document the settings because it worked pretty well on the boat this year

Just be warned that the 455 kHz output for the DI is the reason the unit is flaking out and running it like that for an extended period can damage the final output stage of the transmitter section.

I got this information from a Gent in KY whom has some contacts @ HB also and quoted her email directly - I've been running my DI XDCR on the ice, which fits in a 6" hole NP and the machine runs well (because the 455 kHz has a tighter 2D "cone" and better target resolution).

You might want to consider it.

Wow! These Helix graphs rock. Very user friendly. Cant remember the battery amp, but need to carry a back up if going all day. Lasted about 6 hours. Highly recommend the Helix ice machines.

Drop the back light down as much as you can, and you'll get a lot more run time Ray.

My 12 amp SLA is probably too big for your case, but a 9 amp SLA is about the same exact size as a 7 or 9 amp.

Thanks for the tip Robert. Yeah my 12 amp is probably twice the width of the one that came with it. Oh and thanks for the info you supply on here. Probably wouldn't have even looked at Hummingbird, if it wasn't for your posts on them

We had 4 guys in a 6120i and I could see as soon as one of the other 3 lost their fish. Many times before they knew. Kept freaking them out.

Anyone who uses humminbird ice helix 7 chirp gps g2 have any feedback good or bad? Just purchased this, but can still return and was also leaning towards a Marcum LX7 Lithium. Thanks!

Posted on the Sag thread, but I just got a Helix5 g2 portable unit yesterday.
    https://www.humminbird.com/productDetail-Lifestyle.aspx?id=9521

200+ pages in the manual. I need the 'For Dummies' version. Big step up from the x67c..

I can't seem to find the new 1521 ice ducer for chirp that comes with the ice pkg. I like the portability that this will give me between ice and several boats.

1960 ?? got any leads on the 1521 ducer??
