I’m pretty sure the supreme court would rule your right to privacy supersedes the governments right to force you to be inoculated
Whatever happened to whit? He was a mod when i started on this site back in 06. I remember him contacting me making sure i wasnt some special interest group not long after I joined because i was defending the license increase proposal in a thread. Once he was convinced I was just some joe schmoe he told me to give a couple of people hell and keep up the fight.
The case was just used as precedent in the Supreme Court decision allowing Texas to halt abortions by including them in its ban on non-essential medical services and surgeries due to COVID.
I said money can not make me do something I don't want to do. If I still wanted to go to my job I would. But it sure would not take Bill Gates level to make me not want to go to work. Guessing I could get by with 1/1000 of his. I feel sorry for you and anyone who has a "price" they would accept to give up their principles.
There are lots of things I don't want to do that aren't against my principles. I don't want to take out the trash, or wash dishes, or change a diaper, or mow the lawn... but none of those things are against my principles. I don't want to clean your bathroom - but for a few thousand dollars I'll happily do it even though I don't want to.
Well, I guess I wont need to worry about getting the first doses, I'm damn near at the end of the line. No issue with that.
I will rephrase my original comment: There is no amount of money that will make me do something against my principles.
According to that my wife is way up ahead of me. 23 million ahead of her and 130 million ahead of me. same age. My parents (age 92) same as my wife.
Me either, but then I also can't imagine getting vaccinated - which is measurably safer than most over the counter drugs - being against my principles either.
Lol. I see even 1.6 million "Others" are a head of me. Um... who are these others and why am I not in that group? haha In some way I'm feeling a little left out but then I consider the data and that the odds are pretty good I've had it already or will have had it before the vaccine gets to me and I may not even have known or will have fully recovered and moved on with life. I wouldn't pay to get the vaccine but would pay to have the antibody test and then someone else can take my place at the end of the line.
That is why they are our individual principles. Nobody wants to clean someone else's bathroom but many do for a price.
