I chatted with him for a couple min at the gas station this summer.
Guessing that was near Carson C. Not sure if he still does shows, I last saw him a couple of years ago at the Woods-n-Water show.
From what was written here, he was a very good turkey guide. Any idea if he still does that ?

Are you taking about Thunderhead? Why hasn't he been around here on M-S?
Yes. If I recall correctly, he just got tired of the usual disagreements that always come up and just said good-bye. Or that may have been someone else. lol.

I see him drive through town in his Jeep with the top down occasionally. He had new wrap put on this summer, it's looking good. Heard the Thunderdome was stolen a couple years back and there doesn't look to be too much activity where it used to reside.
Bump. Holy yarn tellers batman, this thread is too funny. Makes me want to take up hunting again, just for those peaceful morning walks in and a good treestand sit. This thread reassures why i no longer hunt. Too many cooks out in the woods ( hunters )
I lived for 5 yrs in a home where an 18 YO young man hung himself in a closet. It was my ex wifes brother. The only thing kookier about her stories of seeing his ghost was her herself.
Classic thread. Thought I'd bump it back up to the top

Damn, this is an old one. I think about Thunderhead's post all the time, probably everytime I walk in the woods on my way to my blind or tree stand. Its been 15 years !
There is another in this thread about an old swamp hag sticking her head into a box blind. I think about that one also, quite often actually.
This is the one, cant even imagine
I'll admit that it bugs me but not enough to keep me out of the woods. I'm basically always solo.
I worked for the USFS doing owl work on the Mt. Hood NF at night. Seven workers and mandatory two man teams. I was the only one to work solo. My boss asked me one time if I ever got scared. Uh yeah. I'm still ticking.
I gotta reread through all of these again.
Maybe after hunting season though. Lol
Worst thing you want to hear in the woods is a bobcat screaming.
Walking to my spot is through a fairly narrow path through the dogwoods. @#[email protected] robins hang in the bushes right over the path, so when you walk under them they all bust out of the bushes like a cat on fire! Gets me every time.
Panthers are cool too.
I think the worse thing you will ever hear in the woods at night is a metallic sounding click...
