Fished Holloway for a few hours yesterday.I was there 3:30 till dark. There were people fishing at every Bridge. I did not go to the Dam. The water was not real high, but it was turbid. Visibility was about 10 inches. I saw 4 Walleye on stringers. All were small 15-17 inches. I'm thinking they were probably males. I heard reports that boat fisherman were doing better than the shore guys. I only saw 1 boat and do not know how they fared. I did not get bit using jigs or minnows. Wish I had more to report but It was a nice day to be out.

dunno if you were there today, but my brother said he saw a guy with a pig throwing jigs. I just kept snagging carps, no eyes.

How would a pig throw jigs when it has feet like that?

I know of someone local who has a pig. They claim it’s a therapeutic animal. I wonder if it was him.

Has anyone been out there lately??

It doesn't get to full pool until about a week after the walleye opener. You can launch in columbiaville . Another guy on here said that the middle dock on the south at the walleye Pike launch does not have a drop off at the end of the slab.

Is the catfishing worthwhile this time of year out there?

I have never tried it this early but they bite thru the ice so I would imagine you can get them now.
