    Guys:

Have a friend coming in from NC next week. He is an experienced, avid fly fisherman, strictly C&R. He wants to fish the Boardman. What bugs might be hatching on that river next week? THKS

Black caddis, sulfers, iso, march browns and few yellow stones.

    Hennies are done.

Ditto with what BR said. The issue is the fish are just finally starting to look up. I have literally fished from the Forks to Keystone this year and have only caught a small handful on dries. Wet flies are the key to the Boardman IMO

The river is on the rise. We are expected to get close to an inch of rain Wednesday. I have to think it is going to blow out again. The river around Brown Bridge is currently at 175csf. That is starting to push the safe wading limits. When it gets around 200 I would be very cautious if entering in on the main river.

THKS for that report. Our friends left the mountains of NC this morning in a driving rain. It looks like a wet week and probably a washout for the fly fishing on the BR for him.

Oh well, the casinos and tasting rooms will probably be dry in any case.
