Just got off the big lake outside of Harrisville harbor. Waves weren't that bad when we started but built up to about 3-5'ers. In a 16' Blue Fin...all boat control went right out the window. We marked a ton of fish in 30-40fow from 20' down to bottom. First time I've seen the big fish icon on the old Humminbird. Hooked up on two but both got off. 1 on a watermelon J-plug off the rigger 30' down and 1 on a magnum bloody nose Moonshine spoon, magnum dipsy 60' out on #3 setting with a 6' leader. It wasn't a great morning but I was spending time with the 11 year old.
Hey Gil, Heard any reports on the salmon situation around oscoda/harrisville area??? I see the pier here in oscoda is getting alot of attention last few days....lots o people out there. Dad and I went ount night before last but didnt get any...I had one on for a sac, but it got off. Is it pickin up?? -Denny
