    Those deers didn't cooperate.

Could have killed a nice doe but that would have been about 10 minutes after shooting light while walking out. Of course, no shot taken.

Taking off for Hillsdale Friday and Saturday. Let the hunt begin.

Awesome work Spike!! Haven't seen much up here, we may hunt in the am before we leave. I think things are just starting to get going here. Lots of scrapes opened up over night!

Well H8ed, had a productive few days with no deer killed.

Thursday I took Isaac62 and QDMAMAN duck hunting and we had a serious shoot. Killed 12 ducks with a mixed bag of puddlers. Good times.

That night I made it to Hillsdale and was to hunt with my buddy on the 150" Farm the next morning. However, my vibrating phone alarm failed to wake me. I will use the ringer next time.
So, while ok to still hunt at the Farm I failed to make it to my buddies place. Saw 3 bucks on the morning sit but nothing I was eager to kill. The afternoon turned windy and I saw 0.

The weather change had me up early for an all day sit way back in. A mile long hike in the dark to and fro. Over 13 hours 30' up. Saw 9 different bucks with one shooter that I failed to react quickly enough to get the bow on him at 40 yds. Watched him for quite some time. I learned the stand as well as I had not hunted it before. I did have a couple does I could have shot but after seeing the shooter in the game I held off.

I never spooked a deer that I knew of and easily saw over 25. Some bucks were right under me for extended periodsand in all directions. Scent control was perfect and entry/exit flawless as well.

Did manage to kill a coyote with my Mathews which was a first for me. He never knew I was in the world and he didn't feel much either.

Have a couple duck hunts scheduled this week then it is all deer with an itchy trigger finger. Hunting the bedroom now. Stay tuned.

    H8ed Rules!!!

Neighbor shot one of the deer I was after... that’s 3 for his 8 acres this year so far. 18ED6B2A-4838-4087-A6F9-2477BA9429D5.png
