Have been paying for an insurance rider to cover my firearms for years. More recently, I purchased a safe with 75 minute fire rating & everything else that goes along with that rating. Is there a reason to still pay for the insurance rider? Can I save some cash knowing that the guns are not going to grow legs & walk out of the house (at least not easily) and if a fire occurs, the guns are protected?

First question is what you have a true safe or a residential security container? I still carry the rider as it is cheap

Number 1, the fire rating on a safe is bs. If your safe is in a fire, your guns are toast. Fire proof safes will not protect your guns from a fire, ahouse fire is much hotter than the rating, and generally last much longer than 75 minutes.
Secondly, unless you spent some serious coin, most safes are very easy to get into if you know what your doing (and most criminals know the tricks).
So, no, don't drop your rider.

Keep the insurance. Its cheap. Besides, I've heard stories about the fire ratings of safes not being as effective as they say.
