The perch bite today was pretty aggressive , you didn't have to hold your rod , and even with
your bait coming off the bottom with the waves the perch were hitting pretty hard . Amos
(in picture) and I fished from 8 till 12:30 and kept 68 perch 1 - 18 inch walleye and two
silver bass , not one junk fish today. Crappie rigs and slip bobbers caught most of the perch.
Minnows at Jeffs were good with a good count. Went off the point in 24 feet , got great marks
on the graph , stopped , started fishing and never moved , very few boats out today. Overall
today the size of the perch was our best this season.:):):) IMG_20201020_125127_kindlephoto-386832.jpg IMG_20201020_124525.jpg

Nice... That NNE wind scared me into staying home.

Didnt look horrible out there from the pic!

Might shoot for an afternoon trip tomorrow if the kid is off work. Got the fever!

I went bass fishing out of there today. Should have went perching. Winds got a little rough after 12:30. The bite was slow for bass. Good job on the perch. Very few trailers in the lot at Sterling today.

I agree. It was a little rough out there today. Walt always catches fish, but I was surprised how well my slip bobber rig did in the waves. Don't leave home without one! Looking forward to the next trip. Also noted that the water temp was 54.7, give or take. Should be walleyes in the bay in very fishable numbers, soon.

I was out Monday after the rain, only one other boat out there.
I ended up with a dozen nice fish. They wouldn't touch cut baid only whole minnows. Slip bobber caught almost all the fish. Caught about 6-8 walleye too biggest was only 13"
Good day on the water but the boat will now be filled with diver decoys and a layout so no more perchin for me :(
