IMG_1210.JPG IMG_1211.JPG IMG_1213.JPG I drew my first bear tag and have two bears coming in to my site. Just wondering what you guys think of this bear? So far hes only coming in at night but hopefully that changes. I know its not small but dont really know how big he is.

    If it's 55 gallons I'd say he'd go 250-300.

any bear who's back is the height of a 55 gal drum is a shooter for most folks. I'd take him for sure.

200 to 250 Lbs good bear for a first one. Not a real big pot belly on it not as tall as a barrel or would be on all fours to push it over. I look at a lot of them they always look bigger on trail cam pictures.

To me by the angle of the camera and looks like the barrel's bottom is at slightly higher elevation, the bear's back is darn close to, if not as tall as the barrel.

Thanks guys. The ground is unlevel at the tree so the front of the barrel is off the ground about 6 inches. Im excited, hopefully I see him during daylighth. Season is coming fast.

Oh and I have a lot more respect for the amount of work that goes in to bear hunting. Ive been exhausted for the past few weeks hauling bait.
