I believe you can give it away it is on the DNR website. But, I believe you can only give it to young hunters or possibly disabled

A great opportunity for you to take a youth and have a memorable hunt though. Know any kids that you could take on the hunt of a lifetime?

I'm in process now with DNR of transferring tag from my father to my son who is 14 years old. So far seems pretty easy to do really. Email correspondence has been pretty quick between all parties.

I think they rules are a good idea. Can you imagine a guy having his wife or children all applying every year. Once they draw he could have them transfer the tag to him. This eliminates a bunch of shady transfers.

Got the call yesterday that the tag transfer between grandfather and grandson was complete and he may purchase his tag any time he wishes to do so. Very easy transaction with the DNR so far.

A guy I know is looking for someone in the Newberry unit to donate a first season tag to a wounded vet. He is offering up a hunt through wounded warriors i believe but as of yet hasn't found a license. If anyone would like to donate let me know and i can put you in contact with this gentleman.
