Just after our ice storm, went outside and took a brief walk through the woods. Calm still morning and the sky is wide open. Sunlight rays beat down on the trees and underbrush, almost making it way warmer than the 22*s that it is. The rugged beauty of the outdoors. A small creek flows with it's icy cap on the edges, filtering through the woods to a nearby marsh. I can see cat tails and low ground thick bushes from my view. It's a perfect day outside. Makes me want to get a Hot coffee in my favorite thermos mug, and head out to walk the woodline edges and fields in search of antlers. Only some weeks away! I wouldn't want any other life than that of an outdoors man!
I’ll be out soon enough. I’m waiting for it to quit snowing. No ice here except for the inland lakes.
I just got in from walking my property in Genesee county. Lots of ice/water and only a few fresh deer tracks. Good news is that I didn't see any coyote tracks. I also changed the batteries on all my cell cams so i should be good for another couple months.

I have to agree with you Maple Ridge! My 8 year old son and I took advantage of the beautiful afternoon weather and he ended finding his first shed antler! Literally happened 20 seconds after I told him to keep a look out when we entered the bedding area! Planning to get both boys back out in early March once majority of bucks have dropped
