Given the large costs and large risks involved with oil exploration, along with the volatility of the regions that produce much of the global supply, it’s amazing gas isn’t $10 a gallon.

Even locally produced milk would be $6-$8 a gallon, if not for subsidies. Think about how much apple cider is a gallon and it’s often sold at the very farm it’s produces, so there isn’t even shipping expenses.

If anyone sneezes or even pulls out a hanky in the Middle East the price goes up.

Add refinery issues within, even minor ones, Abdul on the corner already jacks it up!

I went to Texas 2 years ago. The price of fuel was as low as 1.36. Driving through oil country... only about 10% of the pumps were running. All of them were utilizing the cheap prices to do infrastructure. There were more guys working on pipes and pumps than would be to suck it out of the ground.
I talked to many workers from all over the Country and it was basically the same. Anything under 2 bucks isn’t worth sucking it out.

As we all know it can always be worse.

I prefer less is better but but about 10 years ago I was snowmaching in central AK and was paying 10$ a gallon. $100 doesn't go far....lol

Oil CO's are gonna jack us no matter what.

Gas prices always seem to climb when Republicans are in the Presidential office, and decline when Democrats are in that office. Sup wid dat?

This has been debunked on this site many times. Avg has prices were less under Bush than Obama.

The price of oil globally has no bearing on Republican or Democrat president in the US.

Demand increases when economic activity is growing.

The largest gas increase started with an oil family in the Whitehouse.

Gas buddy is your best friend. This morning I checked Howard City and they were all in the high $2.90's. I saw that Fremont was all at $2.77. it was a no brainer as I was headed that way. Fremont is way below any one else around most of the time.
