Ripped the front axle boot on my Polaris sportsman 570. Is this a major concern? Anyone have approx cost for repair. Used for deer hunting and ice fishing , not much trail riding. Thanks for all responses .

It definitely needs to be replaced. Not that hard to do if you are mechanically inclined. Watch a YouTube video.

Yes replace it otherwise dirt will get in there and destroy the cv joint and it will cost a lot more money. You can get a new boot kit for 15 bucks online and they are pretty easy to do yourself. I think I have been ordering them from boss bearing. This is a very common thing for sportsmans. I have replaced almost all of them on our two sportmans that are from the mid 2000's.

That sounds about right. If it's your first time I would expect it to take a good hour for a rear one and probably two for a front one.
