Went on a random multispecies rampage this morning. Arrived before light to fish for walleyes, nothing so I threw out my spawn rods and put a spoon on for steelhead. Caught a 15" walleye almost immediately on a glow spoon. 30 minutes go by and I get slammed right next to the pier and I knew it was another musky from the fight. This one is a lot smaller than the one I got this spring but pulled me around pretty good. After all of that excitement, bait rod went off and lo and behold - small whitefish. Water is looking extremely cold in my neck of woods - hoping to get some lakers now that the season is open all year in my management unit.
Yeah buddy...more Mac Muskies! Was thinking of winterizing my boat since I hunt a lot, but I might have to grab an afternoon out there once more. Or walk the pier. Nice mix bag!
