SO, you let coyotes go if they have bad fur? Not me, they kill fawns

I see both sides of this but I was just thinking about me releasing a coyote and the landowner seeing me.

A good friend/landowner was telling me that some people were raccoon hunting his property but he always seemed to have some around. Come to find out that they were live trapping the coons elsewhere and taking them to his place to run their dogs.........and then they weren't killing the coons. He was less than pleased about that.

Where did I say I released coyote??? I try to put myself in a position NOT TO CATCH poor quality coyote! My traps get pulled when I see that the saleable value is falling BEFORE they become worthless.

I got a coyote on the last day of the trapping season that absolutely beautiful with long yellow tips. I am not pulling anything. If I get a bad one, oh well. I guess I am just not as good as you to only trap good QUALITY fur.

Or others just like to toot their horns about themselves instead of just saying good job. I have two mentors that only traps in late October to beginning of December, and another that traps from mid October to March 31. They both average about 50 coyotes a year. I am just a beginner, and was just posting last year because this is a forum to show your success and learn.

How long is the cable on the wolf fangs? I think the pre-made ones for sale max at 18".

I believe that you can buy them at 12" and 18", I use the 12" and never had a problem.
