Finally scored on a deer

I never pass on deer anymore throughout the season that I would shoot the last day of the season. It is funny how they just up and disappear when you are ready to shoot the does. I personally would rather shoot a doe than a buck any day of the week.

Well dad called this morning to tell me that he got one, and at first I really didn't believe him till he gave me the whole story. So my wife and I went over there this morning to see it and help hang it. It only took 4 of us about a half hour to figure out what we could tie it off to. Then once we figured out where to tie it to the rope kept stretching so it would be up to the rafters then slowly kept falling till it looked like it was sitting on the floor of the garage. Not really funny unless you were there trying wrestle it around, it was pretty funny watching my mom bear hug the deer trying to hold it up.

 

Two questions:
Was there any alcohol involved?
Did you get photos and/or video?............

Over the years I've also experienced some humorous deer hanging episodes.

 

Nope no alcohol was involved. Probably would have went a lot easier with some alcohol engineering.

No photos or video either everyone was involved with trying to hold up the deer or tie it off. It was kinda like one of those how many people does it take to hang a deer in the garage jokes. First it was 2 then 3 then 4, and probably could have used another couple of people too!

 

Muzzleloader sure are fun, the extra challenge just adds to the great feeling.

 

Nice work of the ML deer. Looks like you're shooting a CVA. What model is it? What load do you shoot? How do you like it? I'm looking to buy one, but am unsure of what to get...
