Well the day I never thought would come finally got here today! Just closed on a nice piece of property. Always said I would have 40 acres some day in my life. Now I'm half way there. Purchased a very nice 20 acre parcel, 17 of mature hardwoods and 3 of food plot area. There is a very nice elevated blind that just might double as my new office... It's not 40 but it's a great start. Now the work begins! Can't wait to get started with all my ideas.... First on the list, get to know the neighbors. Congrats your spot on with meeting neighbors. I have a lot of experience in neighbors not getting along per my job. I’d recommend meeting them before you commit. But you own it now. best of luck it’s nice to have your own.....and that is a hell of a nice blind.

As of now it's investment/hunting property. Saginaw county only 2 miles from my house. Wife wants to build a new house but I will have a hard time parting with what I have built now. Might list it for what I want and if it sells great if not no big deal. I'm in no hurry to sell that's for sure...

I know 2 of them and most that boarder my property are family members. Bedding area is owned by a friend's in-laws and they stay away from it so that 2 pluses already.

Here is another angle of my new office... And I'm not even a big gun hunter, guess I will have to become one now. Screenshot_20180420-221702.jpg

Is that a gas line easement?

If it is you are better off than I am as mine as a 100 foot, 50 feet each way from the center of the poles, power line easement across mine. For a while it thought they were going to make me takedown my tower blind on the easement even though it was almost on the edge of the easement.
