Well this little guy was crying all day and night (over 12 hours). It alpears mom wasnt coming back and we didnt want a repeat of last weekend so we retrieved him. He's drinking out of a bottle and in a large dog crate.
We made arrangements to take him to Howell Nature Center.
Posted the alternative which I found Sunday morn. I like the first pic better! 20180514_231057.jpg 77335.jpeg

Be sure to stimulate it so it will go to the bathroom.

Yeah read about that. I'm sure the folks at the nature center can handle that end.

I occasionally helped a guy that raised whitetails.
As with any animal, there are many tasks that are less than desirable.

A warm damp washcloth/clean rag can substitute for momma's tongue to lick the fawns poopshoot exit to stimulate bowel function.

What is goin on with your local doe's I wonder?

That's where my missing fawns end up.
A crying orphan would get nailed fast.
Not saying your doe are not being coyote stressed. I'm just scratching my head more than expecting answers.

Could be yearling doe's dropping their first fawns and for some reason (habitat conflicts over fawning ground or other stressors) ,abandoning them.

Maternal instinct is not guaranteed just because an offspring is birthed.
Sometimes something is wrong with the mother ,sometimes something is wrong with the newborn. Sometimes things that need to be done right after birth are not done that stimulate hormones ,milk production , bonding, ect.. Through inexperience ,or interruption.
