I had a tiny one laying in front of my trail cam two weeks ago in Tuscola county.

I've got trail cam pics of does that look like they're ready to pop but so far no fawns.

Three very pregnant does at our house last night. They were very aggressive towards last year's fawns. By dark, only the pregnant does were left feeding. We have years and years of trail cam pics showing family groups, then just does, then does with new fawns within a week's time frame. I think we just witnessed the eviction live. Glad the kids got to see this. It connected the dots from all the trail cam photos for them.

It is pretty rare for us to see a fawn prior to June 1st up here. I'm sure there are some born prior to that but not many for sure. I do believe our rut is a little behind that of lower Michigan. I got a trail cam pic of a fawn on May 29th a couple of years ago but that is early (or close to normal) around here. Interesting that you guys are seeing so many in Zones 2 & 3:

Also, read with interest on the experience that Chemo13 had with (apparent) fawn abandonment down in Livingston County. Happy to see that he was able to intervene (and probably save) the second fawn this week. Kudos to Chemo13...
