Made the hour and a half drive to Bolles this morning, launched and headed out with wife daughter and good Yooper friend on boat, followed by great friend, his dad and his two best friends from the UP. Lake was beautiful, 3 inch chop, light breeze.... I knew life was good!!
We ran out and set up north of the dump... got off plane and immediately marked fish from 15’ down to bottom. Ran 2 dipsys with worm burners, a jet off a corner with a spoon and 8 bandits. Early it was the spoons and jets that were steady plucking nice 4 lb fish. As we moved East the Bandits at 55 to 70 back starting working well. Dialed in speed at 2.4 to 2.6 and a couple colors and it was on, fire drill till we hit the line. Turned north along the line and kept plucking away.
buddy followed along just behind and did just as well. Ended up just south of RR shipping channel.
We fished from 8 to 12 and had our 48 fish!! Probably handled over 50 fish alone on our boat, half dozen Boone and Crockett sheep, several small white perch and a bunch of shorts.
Just an absolutely perfect day, with perfect fishing and better friends and family.

Great Report. We did just about as well in the same general area on Thursday (except we actually crossed over into Ohio and trolled to the shipping channel. Fished 26 to 28 fow- all on harnesses and 3 oz bb. Handled 50 eyes (I keep a log) and kept the best 18 which were 20 to 22 inches. Great Fishery!
