Haven’t put a report up in months, so I’ll give some material for the wrap up to salmon season.

I don’t fish name brand spots, so it took a bit for the area to get biters around. I fished with my fiancé a couple times and we had a great time together. This is her third year for salmon and she loves the bobber game. She took her personal best [email protected]”x24” this year.

Felt like a shortened season for us, as I didn’t get any kind of skein bite until mid month there. We did take advantage when they were around though, and put a couple decent bites on. The numbers were nothing special, but not bad for this area and the fact that no one else was getting more than a fish or two.

It has felt like a shortened season. Normally I get to fish alot more up around the ausable and around home in tawas. But not many around this year

Nice fishing, Jon. The water from the dam goes round, and round, lol.

Close? Don't you have some coho to play with up there?

    Congrats on the success.

We moved to West Branch this past spring. Making the drive isn’t too big of a deal though. Coho were great all September last year, but very spotty this year.

Not so much anymore, since the current now mostly rides the rocks. I’ll tell you what though, that flow is just perfect for bobbers when those kings are there and want to bite. For the first time in awhile for me; skein outfished bags handily.
