i went out this morning with girlfriends dad I had him behind me because I knew there was sketchy ice. I saw the transition from the old ice to the new ice took one step the ice spiderwebed and through I went luckily I was kind of expecting it and really didn't get wet. I went over the rocks to the right and got out fine. I know better that to now use a spud so please be careful
Watch it by the rocks too.. some shelf ice in there. I went out on the road side the bathroom and around. Everywhere I went today was 3"...about half the length of the perch!
14 degrees tonight should help out a little. I'll be there in the morning. Am I understanding stay to the right on the way out? Thanks Gregg
I'll be looking forward to a report I'm going to head out after work maybe 3ish if traffic ain't facked
Like i used to say, "love my trade........hate my job".....but now that i'm retired.....it wassss allll worth it.......lol....Keep the faith man.......i'll be out at fairhaven tomorrow or raft, ....
Yes, you'll see where people are getting on to the right. Through the rocks. If not there can go farther right.. wish my buddy wasn't scared yesterday ! You're a vet, you'll be fine. Good luck
place is so iffy. went to raft, Lots of ice, saw two HUGE pike, one small gill and one perch, people were moving like crazy, talked to 4/5, knowone did well at all.....
Watched 3 people get wet there tried warning them they must not of heard me the wind was bad walking with there head down.
There's some guy's that "should" be out and some that shouldn't.. Spud bars save life's ! Spud, walk, Spud, walk.. always amazes me just watching guy's walk like there's 6+" of ice everywhere
Stopped at brian's to get some bait and asked how thick it was he said 1-3" so I bounced to the raft.
