After hearing of some good #s of fish in the city this past week The yeti man and I tried up river to see if any were migrating. Our adventure also had us scouting some state land to place a stand a long the river to try and score some venison. The eagles were out fishing in full force too. We did locate a few fish and found a promising hunting spot. We also saw ole Jim Bedford and a friend out throwing their spinners. Hopefully the yeti man can give a deer a dirt nap today, surf and turf for dinner tonight if he can seal the deal. Char, pink, and creamy egg yolk beads all got bit. 028F0092-504E-43E6-B44E-140162F7DB93.png 2B2B4D22-2A7D-4D02-8456-0D6BF6070836.png D73DF4DA-984B-45C1-8E18-52042D2AAD41.jpeg E46E8B6A-F475-4027-80A7-C172767141D6.jpeg 5C5BC869-A6D3-4BD9-A7F6-76436D7777BA.jpeg

It's a great feeling to have 5 deer down via compound and not to have to chase around the white tails with a gun this year. The early stockpile of red meat has allowed me to dive into my steelhead season and not look back until Spring '21. My dad and I were rewarded with 5 beautiful specimens, (one a freak show) of the Grand today, with a 6th teasing us for a good few second battle. No real pattern today, they seemed to like it all. From Grinch to Double Eagle, Street Walker, Goldman, and even a custom Hot Rod plug. With water temps at 41 they weren't in the fast or the slow, but seemed to be at home in the moderate flow with depths varying from 9 to 5 FOW. A few pics

Dam, seen a lot of fish with defects, but nothing like that one. Looks like it is doing good despite its handicap. Congrtas on a great trip.

Lol, Yes, also had an egg hook and leader hanging out of his mouth and wrapped around his tail.... One determined fish to live!
