Gotcha! The week always goes by fast. Safe travels home.
Stayed at my in laws cottage on Drummond island the past 2 weeks. Came home on the 4th. We are on the south side on pike bay so no walleyes for us but decent bass and pike with some perch but alot of dinks this year. On Sunday and Monday the herring showed up and we landed about 150 for our group. Hatches have been minimal but water has been running colder than past years at this time. Usually near 70 but this year it was between 59-62 degrees. Expect bigger hatches in the coming week. In laws are still there and fishing has been really slow the past 3 days. Pic is a 34 1/2" pike I caught and released.
Were you herring fishing on the south side of Drummond also?
Yes we were. Heard they were catching them in Whitney bay a couple days prior to us finding them. In laws said the fish moved back in yesterday and they caught about 50 more the past 2 days. Not sure how it's going on the north side but seen some pics from a couple resorts on that side with quite a few herring caught.
Anyone have any up to date details on the herring? Up in DeTour for 10 days looking to take the kids out for a good time. Pm okay
Monsterbuck, any report?
How did you do?
