I want to use docking post for anchors. Screw them in and cleat off to the boat. I would leave a float or bumper so it would be easy to grab the line when we return from picking up ducks.

Mainly I want to do this in Munuscong Bay. Last year I had to cut an anchor as it was so set in the clay we were actually pulling the boat into the water. Not to mention pulling loose when the anchor doesn't set well or the wind just blows the boat out.

Seems to me that after we set out spread we can set the boat and always come back to the exact same spot. If we need to adjust the spread we can do the same with the boat by adjusting the lines.

Anyone try this or have thought on it?

Sounds like a solid plan as long as the water isn't to deep.

They work well. I have hunted with people that used them and it was slick. I have bought some but haven't had a chance to use them yet maybe this year. Just don't forget to pull them at the end of the day.
