Deutche Werk Ortgies .380

    Wondering if anyone has an idea of value of an Ortgies .380 pocket pistol? This has been locked away since the 70's and is in 95% condition.

    I didn't mention it, but most of these guns were made in 6.35mm (.25 acp) or 7.65mm (.32 acp). Mine is a much harder to find 9mm Kurtz (.380 acp). Your Gunbroker link seems to reflect that. I should have been clearer.

    I've done a fair amount of research and know that the last year the gun was manufactured was 1924, they were not issued to the military (more often to police) and they were considered to be very accurate, having won a number of shooting competitions in the 20's and 30's. I can vouch for the accuracy.

    But without seeing many around, assigning a value is a little difficult. So I asked
