That is a very broad question and everyone will have their opinions. I launch at Wyandotte and hit mid river, but a lot of guys don’t like that launch. Lots of guys launch at Elizabeth park and hit mid or lower. The guys who want to fish the upper launch at Alter. It’s a personal choice based on where you want to fish. Wyandotte is a good mid point where you could run up or down.

Belle Isle would be a great place to put in at.

Delray. Nice ramp just south of the A bridge. Open dawn to dusk. Keep doors lock and valuables out of site. Not the best area.

I know where it is at.But Belle Isle would be a great place to launch from.We just need to convince the State of that.

I used Wyandotte Saturday and Sunday last week and Monday and Tuesday this week, all evening's. Zero wait..... pull up, pay $7, dump the boat in.... after the April craziness it' easy peasy.

My son and I use Delray all the time, have never had a problem. They have cleaned up the area leading into it, so it's a little better. It is a free launch, still caution should be used.

My point being that on the island it would be a little more secure. State Police,DNR,and Park Rangers would be one heck of a deterrent for wrong doers.Security is not their job.But them being around would make a difference.

Launched out of ecorse boat ramp today. It seemed like it could use an upgrade, but launching was not a problem. Caught a total of six walleyes with three keepers. I appreciate all the advice. I truly enjoyed the action.
