The Moon plays a huge part of the rut but mainly affecting only the intergalactic Whitetails.
It’s snowed some everyday since Friday night but melts everyday. They are forecasting a bigger event Sunday into Monday.
No, but that cold rain causes shrinkage which is bad.

Ended tonights hunt with a total count of 29,3 fawns 22 doe and 4 bucks,2 young bucks browsed within feet of one another,and a very nice main frame 8 with split brow tines briefly scouted the F plot,upon leaving walked up within 25 yds of a very nice buck drinking water from a pond,he was as suprised as i,did listen to some sparing ,but the Rain,Moon,Temperature Amount of daylight and whatever contributes to the rut hasnt materialized,as the wife said glaringly,only rut here is in the driveway...Yup that was my job... Gonna try again Sat.
Today wasn’t a bad evening for my buddy. Moon was rising and nearly full.
