You can launch at Bolles Harbor, LaSalle Yacht Club or Luna Pier.

All of the waypoints listed for Michigan waters are general areas. For example "Ferrmi II N 41 57.00 W 83 15.00" means that the area in front of the Fermi II power plant is in around 41 degrees 57 minutes north latitude, 83 degrees, 15 minutes west longitude. This is referring to an area that is at least 25 square miles.

If you are entering this in a GPS that is set in the ddd mm.xxx mode (where d = degrees, m = minutes and .xxx is fraction of minute), 41 degrees 57 minutes north latitude, 83 degrees, 15 minutes west longitude would be entered as N 041 57.000, W 083 15.000.

If this doesn't answer your question, what are you guys looking for?

You can use Google Earth to check out the waypoints. Make sure the input mode is correct by going to Options, the 3D View tab, and click the radio button for "Degrees, Decimal Minutes" in the "Show Lat / Long" section. You can copy the lat / long from the post and paste it in the Google Earth search box.

I'm having a problem with some of the number too. The example given for Fermi does in fact locate in Google earth as being in front of the power plant. The Cross Dike however is in the middle of ohio. From what I have gathered, the cross dike is more like 42° 5.384'N 83° 8.190'W

Maybe some of the coordinates have typos?

FWIW the format I use is recognized by both google and bing maps too.
