How did you catch that many gobies?

Wax worm on a teardrop tungsten jig on the bottom, as soon as it hit the bottom there was a goby on it. The guy next to me was throwing them back, he thought they were baby burbot untilI told him what they were.

Best way I have found to clean and eat a goby is to hit in the head with a small bat taking care not to damage the meat, place in a bucket of water to insure it is dead. When you get 3-4 find a group of gulls and toss the dead goby to them one at a time.

Just leaving Caseville dishes from 4:15 to 8:35, caught 2 and lost one in the rocks trying to net by myself. Seen 6 others caught, 4 other guys on the pier when I left, rain started at 8:55. Bait was gobies from Tawas yesterday. Wind sucked from SSE and steady all evening.

No but I forgot to mention both were caught on 1/2 of a goby, one on the head and the other on a tail piece.

It has been a long time since the last time I went out to Caseville this time of year, can someone please refresh my memory as to where the river technically ends? Gonna try it soon and just don't want to go to far out and get in trouble.

You don't have to worry about that anymore. Lake Trout season is open all year in that part of Lake Huron. Unit MH-4. Minimum size is 15" Limit 3 Lake Trout/Splake

If there happens to ever be splake, i believe you could keep a combo of 5....i.e....3 laketrout, 2 splake or 2 lakers and 3 Splake....I'm not the greatest at determining which is which!
