I appreciate your point of view. Life would be very boring if we all had the same opinion on every topic! I've been in 4 different high fence operations in MI, the biggest one was The Sanctuary in central mi and I want to say it was only 1,200 acres. The size of the operation you described would be a far different experience than what I saw first hand. Does Africa have any non-fenced hunting operations? I can't stand guys like Keith Warren or anyone else for that matter who show up to a high fenced operation with a camera crew and try to portray themselves as actually hunting on ground where an actual challenge exists. Sorry but that's just me. I know that come heck or high water, they will get their "trophy" buck, even if they need some behind the scenes help. How anyone can stand behind a giant pen raised buck and be proud of what they accomplished is a mystery to me. A friend who worked on one operation had to build stick blinds for "Mr. Whitetail" Larry Weishuhn, so the viewers couldn't tell he was on a canned hunt, even though the stick blind was 40 yards from a comfortable high rise shooting shack. It's these people who are intentionally misleading viewers simply for the sake of ratings...and sponsors...and $$$. They are not hunters in my mind. You said as long as it's legal and ethical then you're all for pen hunting. Well...in a high fenced operation you can legally kill a deer at night with a spot light and truck full of guys armed with 7 mags. The ethical part of the equation is completely up to personal interpretation.
