Fished from daybreak til noon today and pulled a two man on P10’s. Launched out of Bolles and ran into the waves for a bit, then turned, set lines, and trolled with it. Six solid fish first pass of about a mile, then made two more short passes over same area and boxed 5 more. Made a short move to find number 12, with success. 10 of the 12 fish came on baits running less than six feet below the surface! 1.4 SOG was the magic number. Between the stiff SSW breeze and the 36v Terrova, we didn’t need the kicker for help, so our approach was very quiet.
Looks like a major change in weather is coming, so maybe not out again until next weekend.

I agree, real nice fish. Small heads, thick fat bodies; probably 2014 or 15 fish. There were a couple other boats around us, and we heard that somebody got a 10+ around noon....it’s going to be a couple more good years before those are common again.

Was a good trip and great company. Broke out my ice fishing clothing, was needed LOL.

The 6 I cleaned up zippered skinless meat came to 9lbs 4oz.

Tonight's dinner is cornflake breaded walleye..

    Thanks Jim.

I thought I recognized the bearded guy in the pics. Now I know why. Cheers!

I am thinking we should have tried running some baits up higher when we were in shallow on LSC. We were probably fishing below them, now that I see your report from Erie. I would have never thought to run Bandits that close to the boards, let alone P-10s. As a matter of fact, I don't even own any P-10s. I have lots of stick baits, but none of that particular type.

I was hiding behind the beard.

I don't have any P10s either. However I pulled out some old Bomber Long A's and giving them a make over.
Here is what I did so far, have to finish these and another 6 with just the pearl white base coat.

I can’t remember the brand name of the treble hooks that come stock on the P10’s, but they are the best! Sticky sharp! Might as well upgrade the hooks & splitrings on those too....gorgeous paint!
