This weather has been less than ideal. The late snow storm and melt and a couple good showers blew the rivers out completely. Things were just starting to shape up and now it is absolutely pouring right now. Tomorrow seems clear the even more rain Friday. Maybe I’ll be fishing by June.

The frost is still coming out of the ground, up there!. Once the plants start budding/leafing out, they'll suck up a lot more water, and the runoff will dwindle. It happens every year, although usually a couple weeks sooner.
Think of all the great food the Trouties are gobbling up right now. Getting big, and fat, and sassy.

I couldn’t believe how dirty the Big Man was on Tuesday. I knew they
Got rain up there but it musta been more than I thought. Could hardly see bottom when we took the boat down river over some of the shallower gravel areas.

Floated today the water seems to be at least 1 1/2' high judging by what Ham creek looked like.

Had a few chasers and caught a nice walleye.

Thanks for the report. That was kind of the area I wanted to go. I’ll wait.

Went to fish a good trout stream last weekend and it was so high and dirty, I only ended up fishing for about two hours all weekend. It's one of those trout rivers that you don't want to wade in it if you can't see where you are going. Was going to try again this weekend, but I doubt I will with this rain. Guess I'll go shroom hunting instead.

I put in at the Dam and fished down. Boated a couple nice chrome steelhead, several suckers, lost a nice walleye and caught tons of little stocker steelhead.

The wife and I and the baby decided to go for a drive today and get out of dodge. Drove up and checked High Bridge Launch, Bear Creek Launch, Rainbow Bend and Tippy. No one fishing out of Bear or Rainbow, 1 outta High Bridge and about 15 boats outta tippy. Water down river is quite high and very dirty. Pretty slow at the dam from what I seen. Seen a walleye and a Steelhead on a stringer and a nice 8# walleye caught while we were there. A lady also hooked into a sturgeon and broke it off down by the boat ramp. Pretty cool.

    Pretty high at Bear Creek

That's pretty much what it looked like the last week of April, I had a tough time sticking the landing there. Good to know that is considered high
