Hey just keep up the assumptions not based at all in fact. It has nothing to do with smart phones.

I've hunted more before smartphones than after. Like I said, not taking sides in the great bait debate just saying that bait did not create CWD. It MAY or may not contribute to the spread but that is ALL.

Trust me guys dumping truckloads of sugar beets that mold and rot doesn’t help. I’ve heard of guys using food scraps. I mean is it normal to bait a bear with outdated Twinkies? Cmon use your head instead of making assumptions. It’s ludicrous to think that something bad wouldn’t happen from mass feeding animals an assortment of food that isn’t native to their diet

It's crazy you figured it out before biologists studying it.

Then why can’t you find something else to argue about. It doesn’t take a scientist to figure out that animals eating things diseased and molded will get them sick

    :dizzy:

CWD is a bit different than a tummy ache.

Sorry, I will quit being a jerk. For today.

Much more of a possibility than spoiled food creating the misfolded protein responsible for CWD.

Bait could contain prions due to the ability of the prion to be in plants but there is zero scientific evidence the prions were originally created by bait or spoiling of it.

Right, deer never ate corn, beets or apples before baiting! Most "baiters" I know, use spin feeders that spit out a handful of corn, not truckloads of moldy beets. I'd be for spin feeders and corn only.

Not sure which cause you think I am on. Where i hunt in the tb zone i dont bait. So when a state wide bait ban goes into affect it does not effect me.

I am starting to think the MAJORITY on here has never hunted without using bait in their life time and they cant handle that process. So they will go to no boundries to get the baiting ban resinded.

I feel most on this site will grumble a bit because they can’t bait but will follow the rules no matter which direction the NRC leads us. It’s just a new chapter for parts of Michigan’s deer woods.
