Very unfortunate situation what ever the cause! Though a sweet find and gonna be a sweet Euro to hang in your room.

 

I did not fact check with authorities after a co- worker got out of jail.
He claimed " she" was setting him up and planted a bag.
He was awoke ( third shifter ,earplugs ,dark room) by drawn guns and hauled away after she dropped a dime on him....

 

Bummer he's gone, but definitely cool that you found one so similar to your daughter's buck, and hopefully there's a few more out there passing on these gene's. Great looking deer to have around for sure. Count yourself as fortunate to have some unique racks somewhat common on the property. Looking forward to the update when you harvest the other triplett from the bunch!

 

Those antlers are pretty bleached. I would say it died before hunting season.

 

Sad but very cool that you found it. There is no doubt in my mind they are related. Too many similarities not to be.

 

You could say the same thing about Big T and Lobrass.

Brian here's one I found yesterday to under unfortunate circumstances also...Heavy mass with 5 pts (small crab claw at the tip)...Looks to be dead about 3-4 weeks old...No signs of ballistic wounds only coyotes....He was 30-40 yds off a road laying in my crp....He had only one side of his rack...Coincidentally I believe I found his matching side last week about 150 yds from his body...It's a bummer, definitely would've of been a big boy next year..

 

Yep we have a ton of yotes around this year to...We need to do something about them.....My best guess it was a car...We've had many deer hit by cars on our road frontage...It's actually really an alarming number...What can you do?
