Thinking of a purchasing a phone based chart plotter like the one that Lowrance offers. Are there any apps other than Lowrance worth considering?

Don't know anything about the Lowrance. But I have been pleased with the Navionics app on my Android. Especially useful in hard water season.

How does that app work. Do you have purchase charts separately?

Got tired of paying for navionics and switched to the Lowrance app this spring.
    Works fine.

I like this one. One time chart purchase. I think.... Haven't been able to use it for navigation as I have not purchased it yet. But, it appears to have the same chart as my navionics card in my plotter. It's using a chart I already have downloaded, just can't use the navigation features until purchase.

    I-boating is the app

Check out the app Fishing Points. Has the content in the one above plus some extras to track catches, etc.
